| Leisurely walks for active
people
One of the first questions people ask is “How difficult are the
walks?”
Let us set your mind at rest. There’s no need for special equipment
or technical climbing skills. Our walks are suitable for people
of all ages with a reasonable standard of fitness who can walk for
five to eight hours on well-constructed walking tracks.
There’s no need to carry anything other than a light daypack, and
you won’t find yourself eating spartan meals in a remote hut. Instead,
you’ll relax after the day’s excursion with a hot shower in a high-quality
lodge that has been chosen for its proximity to local restaurants
and cafes.
Adding to the experience, you’ll be in the company of a small group
of like-minded people.

Exercise your mind and body
All our walks are guided, and the insights of your guide will add
a unique dimension to your holiday.
We have made a point of employing only guides who are local to
the area and well qualified to lead groups. Some are Maori and able
to tell you about Maori traditions and culture. All of them can
explain the local wildlife and open your eyes to fascinating features
of the landscape.
The freedom to do it your way
We walk in small groups and offer a personalised service.
You can choose from a varied selection of holidays, ranging from
two to four days, in eight scenic areas of New Zealand. No two days
are the same. One day you may be following a coastal track to an
idyllic cove. The next day you might find yourself in spectacular
mountain scenery, or exploring a primeval beech forest.
Built-in rest days allow you to enjoy the other attractions of
the area, such as golfing or fishing – or you may just wish to take
it easy.
Quite simply, no other holiday offers you the same mix of freedom,
activity, comfort and variety, while taking you through a unique
and beautiful landscape.
