We want you to have an enjoyable holiday with The New Zealand Walking
Company Limited (NZWCO) and to ensure there is no misunderstanding,
your bookings are accepted subject to the following conditions:
Your Contract
The contract is between NZWCO and the person(s) travelling or intending
to travel on a NZWCO holiday. The contract is made on the terms
of these booking conditions and is subject to New Zealand law and
the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand Courts.
A contract will be deemed to exist when we issue a booking confirmation.
How to Book
A booking form accepting the terms of the booking must be completed
on behalf of all those travelling, and forwarded with a NZ$200 deposit
per person to NZWCO or our agent.
Balance of Payment
The balance of the price of your holiday is required 45 days before
departure, or at the time of booking if within 45 days. If the balance
is not received, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled
by the client, retain the deposit and/or apply cancellation charges.
Insurance
Clients must be adequately insured to cover the nature of NZWCO
holidays and we recommend that tour cancellation insurance is taken
out at the time of booking.
The Holiday
We are pleased to accept your booking on the condition that you
appreciate and accept all the risks associated with ‘soft adventure’
holidays, including the possibility of accident or injury.
Weather or other environmental conditions may require our guides
to vary the itinerary in the best interests of the group or their
safety. NZWCO or their contracted suppliers can not be held responsible
for these changes nor liable for any refunds. Furthermore, you agree
to accept the authority and decisions of the guide or NZWCO employees,
our suppliers and agents while on holiday with NZWCO If in their
opinion the health or conduct of a client(s) is, or is likely to
be, detrimental to the safety, welfare or enjoyment of the group
then said client(s) may be excluded from all or part of the tour
without recourse to refund. The person signing the booking form
warrants they have full authority to do so on behalf of those persons
whose names appear thereon, or separately in relation to their group,
and confirms that all such persons are fully aware and accept these
conditions.
Alterations or Amendments
We will do everything possible to accommodate your requirements
however due to the administration costs involved confirmed bookings
that are changed or transferred within 45 days will attract a fee
of NZ$400 plus any other costs incurred.
If You have to Cancel
Should you or any member of your party need to cancel please contact
NZWCO immediately to discuss the options. If no suitable alternative
can be found the following cancellation administration costs will
be applied:
• After deposit paid and before full payment: Deposit forfeited
• After full payment and 30-45 days before travel: Deposit
plus 50% tour price
• After full payment and 21-29 days before travel: Deposit
plus 75% tour price
• 20 days or less before departure or after tour commences:
100% of tour price
NZWCO recommend all clients take out cancellation insurance at
the time of booking.
If We have to Cancel or Change Arrangements
We look forward to taking you on holiday and will use our best
endeavours to ensure all tours are operated as advertised. Holidays
will only be cancelled if we do not receive full payment on time
or we are forced to by reasons of force majeure (such as war, civil
strife, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather or
other occurrences outside our control) OR because minimum tour numbers
(usually four) have not been reached. In these instances we will
offer an alternative holiday where practicable or you may choose
to receive a full refund. NZWCO will not be liable for any expenses
incurred before full payment has been made or when circumstances
are outside our reasonable control. The information in this website
has been carefully checked and is believed to be correct at the
time of publication but is subject to schedule, timing or other
changes by third party suppliers.
Prices
Prices are detailed on the enclosed applicable price lists and
were correct at the time of publication. However despite our best
intentions the price may be subject to surcharge due to unfavourable
price changes in fuel, airfares, accommodation, government-imposed
charges or adverse currency exchange rates. Any surcharge greater
than 10% you will have the right to cancel your booking within 7
days of notification and receive a full refund.
Other Conditions
NZWCO, as operator or agent, arranges these tours on the condition
that it shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury, accident,
delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any defect
in any vehicle, vessel or equipment or by Act of God or through
the acts of default of any company or person engaged in conveying
the passengers or in carrying out arrangements of the tours or otherwise
in connection herewith. NZWCO reserves the right to change prices,
facilities or services described in the website. NZWCO accepts no
responsibility for independent activities or actions arranged by
the client or by NZWCO while on tour.
We are unable to refund any unused services which are included
in the tour price.
To offer you competitively-priced holidays, a
service charge will apply for payment by Visa and Mastercard.
