Each of these states has its own set of rules and laws governing its use and eligibility.

The Medical Marijuana Legalization Initiative, also known as Amendment 2, was passed in Florida on November 8, 2016, allowing eligible patients to use marijuana under the supervision of a certified and licenced marijuana doctor. Furthermore, this amendment received 6,518,919 YES votes (71.32 percent) and 2,621,845 NO votes (28.68 percent).

Marijuana is classed as a Schedule 1 drug by the federal government, making it illegal for doctors to prescribe it to their patients. These marijuana doctors can only issue recommendations for medicinal marijuana that are compliant with state law and are valid for up to a year. A prescription for medical marijuana cannot be filled in a pharmacy.

Medical marijuana doctors are not allowed to be linked with any medical cannabis wholesalers or dispensaries due to rigorous rules.

Under this modification, only specific patients with “debilitating conditions” are given legal protection. PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Chronic Muscle Spasms, Multiple Sclerosis, Seizures, Epilepsy, Glaucoma, Crohn’s Disease, Cancer, HIV/Aids, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s Disease), and Parkinson’s Disease are among the illnesses covered by it.

Despite the fact that the above ailments were listed as “primary debilitating conditions,” Amendment 2 added the following: “or any other ailment/condition of similar severity/symptoms, as determined by a physician’s opinion that the medical use of marijuana would outweigh any potential health risks.”

In Florida, there are now 56 known and listed marijuana doctors.

More information and specifications about this topic can be found on the Florida Department of Health’s webpage on how to become a medical marijuana patient in Florida. Here’s where you can get more information on Amendment 2.

DISEASE OF PARKINSON’S

I saw a video on Facebook a few months ago about a man with Parkinson’s illness who was given a medical cannabis shot. The movies of the before and after were extremely remarkable. This man had considerable tremors, stuttering, and aberrant postures before to treatment. The following video depicted a completely different person. His words were understandable and audible. He exhibited no stuttering or tremors, and his motions were quite controlled. This man was walking and talking like any other regular individual. He also talked about how it has helped him live a better life.
